I can't belive it! I have a C+ in math! This is probally the worst grade I have ever gotten in my life! I need extra credit really bad. I'm am in 7th garde and am learnig about Statistics. It is so hard. Please give me tips on how to keep my grades up and stay that way. Uggg.
MATH GRADE DISASTER!!!! In desperate need of help!!!?
Well, like everyone else said C+ is horrible! You still have time to bring it up before June. Don't worry about it. You can do it! Just talk to your teacher and ask her what you need to do to bring your grade up. She will probably be very impressed. Then just study your buns off! You will be able to bring up that grade. Don't sweat it! Just set aside time for studying and try to put on some classical music while you are doing it. It's been shown to help you retain the info better.
Reply:im a seventh and eighth grade teacher. first of all you need an agenda to write in all assignments both long term and short term. you also need to go in for extra help in the courses you are struggling in.. if there are tutoring sessions offered by your school, take advantage, ask about a peer tutor.. someone in your class that is acing it may be able to sit by you and help you immediately when you are struggling with a concept. hope this helps
Reply:It's not that bad, girlie!!! C+ is average, remember? Just ask your teacher if you may make up tests, homeworks, and quizzes... It's working for me, and my grade went up a little bit pretty quickly.
Good Luck! :))
Reply:dont do homework or do good on test thats how u get a fantastic f like me
Reply:ahhh one word of advice ...practice practice practice ! n oh yeah get ure facts rite :D ...
anyway , i do that n even manage to get first class , in maths n statistics , in university :P gd luck :D
Reply:Talk to your teacher, they are usually pretty helpful if you show a willingness to do well. Have you done all the homework? If not, that would be why you don't understand it. If you have, try doing some extra problems (yes, I know it is no fun, but it works). And don't worry, a C+ in 7th grade is not going to kill your highschool GPA or college entrance chances, don't freak out too bad. Just try to get better next time. And good luck.
Reply:stay after almost every day to get help---ask teachers, parents, and maybe even freinds, if they can help u out a little bit each day!
Reply:I would go to your teacher and ask. Be honest in accepting responsiblity for where you are at... not doing your work, not concentrating... or having to admit, "You know what, I just don't get it." The teacher will appreciate your honesty and your earnest efforts to work for a better grade. I would ask your teacher what you could do to raise your grade and keep it there. Ask if there is a project that you can do for her with the intent publishing your findings or project in your school newspaper if you have one. You may not earn a higher grade, but you will definitely earn a greater respect from her/him.
Reply:Massive determined study. Also, when I have math troubles, I often refer to wikipedia to help me understand some concepts.
Reply:chill out dont kill your self about it...........C+ ain't that bad!!
Reply:Questions you dont get use yahoo answers... and for explanations and stuff... also try going on
http://mathforum.org/dr.math/
This site is some university site for mathematicians answering questions for people needing math help... theyre slow... i depend more on yahoo answers because tons of people are on it xD... But Dr.Math gives accurate answers but usually takes up to 2 days or it never gets answered.
Reply:I'm sure u know u have to practice and understand math. So whenever you can don't ask how to solve a problem but ask WHY you solve it that way. The more you understand, the less you need to remember.
But more importantly than you think, find a way not to get nervous in the test. Bubble gum works for me (and it's been proven to statistically improve grades).
