Math teacher babying me and I feel even more dumb?

I ask my mother the other day to explain something to me about math, then when she couldnt help me I said thanks and walked out, this is the first time I have ever asked for her help.

So she freaked out about it and called my math teacher and told her to check up on me and check my work and all that stuff even though my work is always done. Now the math teacher wont leave me alone and I'm getting angry and I feel really stupid and I know I am. She sits by me while I do my work and points out everything to me and treats me like a baby, I'm getting frustrated b/c if I don't understand something I don't have anyone to ask b/c if I ask the math teacher then she is going to continue to baby me and I just want her to stop, and I cant ask my mother b/c I dont know what she will do and I dont want to bother her. The teacher is by my side the whole time so I feel really stupid b/c she lets the other kids be.

I don't understand the work and I'm so scared to get anything wrong what can i do

You admitted that you don't know the answers, and the teacher is trying to help you. Maybe you should just ask the teacher more questions to get better answers. Once the teacher knows you are understanding the work, you'll quit being babied.
Reply:your teacher is employed by the county and by the school. if you don't approve of your teacher's behaviour then go to her boss, the principle. by the way there should be tutors in your school that can help you with your math. if your current teacher will not help you then ask another teacher.
Reply:try going to the teacher for extra help after school when there are not as many people around this can help you understand it more and if the teacher doesnt back off when u get it just keep repeating "thanks i understand it now"
Reply:jus tell him tht he is embarassin u by sittin by u....tell him tht u require separate help, say, aftr classes or so...
Reply:This is taking things too far. The teacher is belittling you in front of the class, and not concentrating on anyone else. Is there another teacher or councellor you can trust? Explain that although you cannot understand the work and would appreciate some help, you feel belittled in front of the class.

There are some things we just cannot do, and for some numbers can be difficult. It does not mean you are stupid! I expect you are good at English or history, or something else.
Reply:don't be scared of getting things wrong,

if u tried ur best, ur parents can't blame u for it,....

and ur math teacher, she's just doing that because ur mom

called her and told her that ur having math problems and

that she as a teacher felt that she isn't taking proper responsiblity to teach u, i think she felt that pressure, so she's always next to u, helping u on everything.

but if u really hate ur teacher doing that, the only way to solve it is to tell her that u don't need her treating u like that, tell

her to help you only when u think u need help.

i hope i helped. The only way is you should tell her ur feelings,

Cheers~~
