Could i still be a vet if im not great at math?

i was never bad at math

i always got about B/C average

and i got A/B average if i got

good help from the teacher

im one of those students

who might not get it at first

but after a little help

i totally get it.

So my question is

i heard you have to take

a lot of math to be a vet

if im not the greatest at math

should i not even bother...

im guessing i could alway sget a tutor

or just try really hard, this is college

im not in high school anymore

i dont have to worry about friends

and popularity and activities to get in my way

Could i still be a vet if im not great at math?
Maths and being a vet is two different thing. I suggest you find out from the website what it takes to be a Vet and work towards it.
Reply:you don't have to great at math. just know the basics like geometry or alegebra
Reply:I have a friend who went to college to become a vet. She maintained a B average in math through high school and in college. the main thing you will need is a desire to help animals and are willing to study. The rest will fall into place if you apply yourself. By the way, she is a vet in a small town in Northeast N C now, and is living pretty good and enjoying what she does, helping small pets and farm animals like horses and cattle. Good luck and God Bless!
Reply:As an adult, you would probably do better with math. Most people who do not do well in school through their teenage years, can do better. I think it is the lack of focus (too busy worrying about partying!).

My sister is going to college to be a vet's assistance. It is a 10 month course, and she was no genius.

Check around to different schools and programs. I am sure if you really want to be a vet, you will do it.
Reply:If you really want to be a vet then you should go for it. You will be able to do the required math. You will need to complete up to calculus level math and a B or C will be sufficient to get by. Also I am sure if you apply yourself you will do better. Don't underestimate your abilities.

The actual required math is incidental to the subjects you really need to pass like physics and chemistry. That is where the math really comes in and is absolutely necessary. So don't worry so much about math. Worry more about physics and chemistry and getting those subjects down. These subjects and biology will be the keys to your success as a vet.

Stay strong, study hard and press on. You can be whatever you set your mind to be. Go for it!!!
