In the UK, is a pass at OCR Numeracy Certificate level 2 the equivalent of GCSE Maths grade C?

I'm absolutely crap at maths but have just passed the OCR. I need GCSE or equivalent for a job application, and was told this was a short cut!

In the UK, is a pass at OCR Numeracy Certificate level 2 the equivalent of GCSE Maths grade C?
i found this as part of an aplication

"All applicants need GCSE minimum grade C mathematics or a recognised equivalent (e.g. 4 x OCN level 2 units, OCR Numeracy, etc.)"

so i would say that the ocr certificate is the equivilent to a gcse crade c
