Halfway Through The College Semester; How Do I Raise My C Grade to an A?

This is my first semester of community college and am doing great in most of my 5 classes. However i have never been good at math. In my math class i currently attain a C grade. We have Quizzes every week and exams about every 3 weeks or 4. I hate math with a passion yet am motivated to do well in school so I studied quite hard for this previous exam. I felt like a math expert for once im my life yet to my frozen surprise my exam was a D paper. I couldnt believe it. So now that I have been faced with such an ugly letter, how can I get an A in my math class?

I have not missed once homwork assignment, assigned each time class meets.

I'm a hard working student yet math has never been my friend.

wow you really are bad at math...if you're half way through the semester and u have a C and u got all A's on everything else, then the best you can do it a B.
Reply:Too late for the A now...You should know how to make an average. You have low grades already. Are the 200% grades possible? No.

You may be able to attain a B- for the semester IF the C average is not too low. The D paper is the killer. The paper holds more weight or importance than homework.

Get an A for the second semester. That grade will mean more...you have improved.

Stay attentive, take notes, ask questions, and don't miss any assignments. That's what A students do. Hopefully you aren't going into an area that requires a lot of Math courses.
Reply:I failed my first mid-term on Math. The instructor was horrible, and then I withdraw from that course with no penalty and retake only that course in the summer semster (although you got to give up a month of your holday). Since I am only doing one course in the summer, I can focus most of my time on it, and I did ok on it. Do a lot of practice exams and you should be fine, since my exams tends to follow the similar pattern as the practice exams. I am glad I just have to do 2 semesters of math in my first year.
Reply:Have you thought about getting a tutor. Or even asking your teacher for a bit of extra help outside of class.
Reply:The best advice for math is to apply what you leanr as soon as your taught it so you wont forget. When you start on a section or a diffrent level take what you learned and do like four or five problems with the same strategy so that you can grasp the concept and you would be less likely to make mistakes
Reply:i just study hard mostly before bed once i got an f in maths then i started studying using this tech then i started getting b and c (i only used this in maths)the rest carry on as normal
