Please help me with this math?

I need help on this math homework

it says

Evaluate each expression for a= 5,b= -4, and c= -6

1) l b +2 l

2) - l c l

3) l b - c l

4)l b l - l c l

5) l a l + l 4c l

6) - l a - b l

7) 3a - l b l

8) 5 l b + c l

please help me thank you so much!

and I had to use l's as absoule value signs

Please help me with this math?
plug them in. So,

For example, for number one,

1.)

l b +2 l

l-4+2l

I-2l

=2

and yea..

2) - l -6 l = - l 6 l =-6

and so on.

Do the math inside the absolute value signs first, make that positive. If there is a negative outside the absolute value sign, you basically multiply by -1, so the answer is always a negative.

2) -I-6I = -6

3) I-4-(-6)I = I-4+6I = I+2I = 2

4) I-4I-I-6I = 4-6 = -2

5) I5I+I4(-6)I = 5+I-24I = 29

6) -I5-(-4)I = -I5+4I = -9

7) 3(5)-I-4I = 15-4 = 11

8) 5I-4+(-6)I = 5I-10I = 50
Reply:since absolute value means make the number positive even if it's assigned negative at the begnning. and if it's already positive, then it doesn't change anything.

1. 6

2. -6, because of neg sign outside of abs value

3. 11

4. 10

5. 29

6. -11 same reason as num 2

7. 11

8. 10
