I have 2 math problems working with converting F to C (degrees)
the problems are:
#1. convert 120 celsius to fahrenheit
"somehow i got 152/1?????
#2. the melting point of the metal gallium is 86 F what is this temp. in degrees celsius?
"i got 1062/5??"
And so everyone knows i do know the formulas!
Math help....?
Ok so. Although i already know you know the formulas, i'll repeat them so you know which one i used if there are any variations. i used: c/5 x 9 + 32. If you substitute c for 120, you get 120/5 x 9 + 32. 120/5 = 24. 24 x 9 + 32. 24 x 9 is 216. So 216 + 32, is 248. the degrees in fahrenheit is 248.
2). f to c, is (F-32)/9 x 5. Fahrenheit is 86. so 86-32 is 54. 54/9 is 6. 6 x 5 is 30. (: in celsius its 30.
Reply:Im thinking to convert F to C you multiple by 1.8 and then add 32. Which would give an answer of 257.6 degrees to #1 and an answer of 186.8 degrees for number 2
Reply:Answers #1: 248 #2: 29.97
Reply:Are you crazy!!!!!! No one knows the answer to that. Im just kidding. Your right im in college. You have the right answers and dont feel bad that u dont know the answers to those type of things. There hard!!!!!!! I WISH YOU ALL MY LUCK ON THE TEST AND OF THE PAPER!!!!!
Reply:# 1 248
not sure second one
Reply:F=(Cx9/5)+32
C=(F-32)x5/9
86-32=54x5=270/9=30 celcius
