Easy math question?

Okay 345/620= 0.5564516129 wouldnt that be 55%??

ANd wouldnt that be 407/620 = 0.6564516129 be 65%??

Here is the funny thing my proffesor said there is 620 point in the class however it says on the Syllabus that if you get 407 points out of 620 equals a C grade..... here is the scale 402-459 equals C. Because if 407/620 equals 65%. However the math doesnt play out right?? I guess she is being easier?? any answers??

Easy math question?
You calculated the percents right, but many professors make their own rules, I've had a few who were tougher than they should have been and who demanded more than 70% for a passing grade. It looks like your professor is considering everything between 65% (402) and 74% to be C.
Reply:That is because he is giving you guys a chance to pass the class with a lower score. You are right 65% is not a C it is a D. But, your teacher has made a D score into a C score. So he is giving you a break.
Reply:Maybe she just curves at the end of the semester? Like in my econ class I had like a 83% but I ended up getting a B+. This usually happens if the prof doesn't curve test scores but instead curves the grade at the end of the semester.
