"C" in geometry?

I received a C in geometry (i'm TERRIBLE at math!) this semester. So, I was wondering whether or not this one bad grade would act as a deterant for schools that I may apply to in the future? The schools that I'm leaning towards are liberal arts colleges, like Amherst.

Also, if it matters..I'm a sophomore

Andddd. I know gpa isn't everything, but an answer, positive or negative, will probably put my mind at ease.

"C" in geometry?
For Amherst, you'll probably need a final, weighted GPA of 3.7-4. It's a very competitive school. This isn't to mention letters of recommendation, SAT/ACT, and extracurriculars.

In terms of your C, it isn't going to help, but don't freak out: you're still relatively young, so show colleges that you're resilient by excelling in all future math classes. This will make your application very desirable.
Reply:a C in geometry isn't THAT bad but make sure that you try to bring it up at least or recieve some tutoring. i understand that you're bad in math, but you will have to take math classes all of your 4 years so you better start getting better in it now so you won't have to worry about it later in the future. but colleges only look at semester grades not really quarter grades.
Reply:Umm I doubt it, cause it a passing grade. I'm a freshman and I passed that class with a 92. Maybe if you try harder and get better grades in your other math classes, then that one won't really matter. G00D LUCK !
Reply:Were it the geometric proofs that were bad for you? I actually love proofs, lol. Geometry was the funnest math class I have had. YAY POLYGONS.

And one C won't hurt your chances dramatically. Just improve next semester.
