1) If those are opposite sides of the rectangle, then 3y + 10 = 2y + 20, because opposite sides are equal. Thus, y = 10, and the side length is 40.

2) The interior angles of a square are all 90 degrees. Thus, 2x + 45 = 90 and x = 22.5

3) The diagonals on a rectangle are equal, so AC is also 25.

4) The angles created by the intersecting diagonals of a rhombus are 90 degree angles; therefore, 4y + 10 = 90, and y = 20.

5) GHK would be exactly half of GHI, so GHK = 33.
Reply:1. Because it's a rectangle, AB = CD, so

3y+10 = 2y+20

y+10 = 20

y = 10

AB = 3y+10 = 40

2. %26lt;FCD has to = 90, so

2x+45 = 90

2x = 45

x = 22.5

3. The diagonals inside a rectangle are equal.

AC = BD = 25.

4. A rhombus' sides are all the same length, so the angles formed in the center are all right angles.

90 = 4y+10

80 = 4y

20 = y

5. The diagonal bisects the original angle of the sides.

%26lt;GHI = 66, so %26lt;GHK = 33.
